Effects of Underwork and Overwork

 


Working is an important part of our life but too little or too much work can negatively impact our health.Here are six paragraphs discussing the effects of underwork and overwork:


Both underwork and overwork can cause stress Stress occurs when our body feels under pressure or threatened When we are overworked we feel stressed due to having too many tasks and responsibilities. Being overworked or underworked affects our mental health. Too much work leaves us tired and exhausted all the time which increases the risk of depression and anxiety When we are overworked we don't get enough downtime for our brain to relax. Being underworked can also impact our mental health as it leads to boredom and lack of purpose Without enough tasks to keep us engaged we may feel demotivated.


Our physical health also takes a toll due to overwork or underwork Too much work means long working hours lack of exercise and sleep This strains our body and increases the risk of health issues like back pain, headaches and weight gain. When underworked we may not have enough physical activity in our daily routine which is important for health Both underwork and overwork can weaken our immunity over time.

This distances us from our loved ones Being underworked may cause us to become irritable and impatient which can negatively impact relationships We may vent our frustration from lack of purpose on our close ones.


Work life balance gets disturbed due to underwork or overwork Too many work responsibilities means we can't devote enough time to our personal life hobbies passions and leisure activities This makes us always feel busy and burned out. Similarly being underworked leads to an imbalance where work doesn't hold much importance in life This also impacts our satisfaction.
