UAE's Ambitious Plan to Transform Food and Agriculture Sector
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set its sights on increasing the food and agriculture sector's contribution to the GDP by a sizeable $10 billion during the next five years , which would be a significant step toward economic diversification and food security. The Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, launched this ambitious project that not only aims to enhance the nation's economic base but also generates a significant 20,000 jobs. Minister Al Marri described the strategic orientation guiding this revolutionary ambition during the fifth Future Food Forum.
