  70 percent of its $100 million pledge made in April at the International Humanitarian Conference for Sudan and Neighboring Countries has been allocated by United Arab Emirates to UN agencies and humanitarian organizations, underscoring UAE’s leading position as one of the major donors in Africa aiming at easing the current crisis. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs made it clear that they are directing this aid to important partners such as United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affair (OCHA), UN World Food Program (WFP), UN High Commissioner for Refugee (UNHCR), Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO), and World Health Organization (WHO).
