UAE’s Humanitarian Commitment Shines Through with Major Medical Evacuation from Gaza

In recent times, in an act of selfless humanitarian leadership, the UAE working with WHO had to evacuate 148 Palestinians from Gaza urgently; this includes 85 critically sick and badly wounded persons plus 63 members of their families. The operation was carried out via Ramon Airport in Israel and Karam Abu Salem crossings demonstrating UAE’s total devotion towards relieving suffering among people in Gaza who are still suffering through hopelessness. Commenting on this event Reem Al Hashimy Minister of State for International Cooperation pointed out that it is proof that UAE is committed to providing immediate help as well as opening doors for peace. On a broader level, the move towards evacuation is seen as a response to an impending danger and it also signifies UAE’s commitment to being a symbol of hope and support.

Matter of fact, the UAE humanitarian initiatives have been considerable as they provided over 40,000 tons of help through different ways. Having taken care of 709 patients and 787 family members already, and with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordering assistance for another 2,000 or so, the UAE has done great things that are highly motivating. As far as WHO is concerned, its Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised these efforts while also urging for continuous cooperation on evacuation routes and opening up access to crucial areas. This constant and profound philanthropic action carried out by the UAE highlights how effective global unity can be in meeting pressing worldwide requirements.
