G42 aids AI growth and global expansion, courtesy of an investment of $1.5 Billion from Microsoft and the strong relationship of US-UAE

 



Microsoft Corp. has taken a significant step aimed at fastening AI development as well as outward expansion with a statement released on an injection of $1.5 billion into G42 which is a UAE-based AI technology holding company that leads. This move underlines the resolve of both partners in agreeing to partner in introducing sophisticated artificial intelligence solutions and training activities within UAE territory among other locations across the globe. The collaboration is aimed at boosting organizations across the globe becoming AI technologies that are compliant with highest international safety and security benchmarks even as G42’s board gets a new member, Brad Smith from Microsoft who is the current Vice-Chairman and President.

“Our two companies will work together not only in the UAE, but to bring AI and digital infrastructure and services to underserved nations,” said Brad Smith, Microsoft Vice Chair and President. “We will combine world-class technology with world-leading standards for safe, trusted, and responsible AI, in close coordination with the governments of both the UAE and the United States.” Not only does the partnership between Microsoft and G42 further their long-standing association in AI and digital transformation, it also shows that they share strategic goals as far as their plans are concerned. It means that by using the Microsoft Azure platform, G42 will be able to address the needs of their AI applications and services while at the same time coming up with next-generation trends for public sector clients all over the world and big corporations.
