UAE continues its humanitarian mission

 


The United Arab Emirates has always been at the forefront of providing humanitarian aid to people in need around the world It recently announced several new humanitarian projects and contribution to help those affected by conflicts and crises. 


The UAE delegation visited Chad to assess the situation of Sudanese refugees there They met with refugees, local leaders and UN agencies Chad is facing a huge influx of people fleeing the ongoing conflict in Sudan The UAE announced a $10.25 million contribution to UN organizations working there This will help provide healthcare nutrition protection and other assistance to vulnerable refugees especially women and children.  


A portion of this funding will go towards maternal and child healthcare by the World Health Organization The UN Population Fund will receive support for women's health services and programs addressing violence against women The UN refugee agency and World Food Programme will also benefit to deliver aid more effectively. 


In addition to the recent funding the UAE has been a major donor for humanitarian causes worldwide It has previously contributed over $230 million for relief efforts in Sudan alone This includes food aid medical supplies and support to international agencies Even during global economic difficulties the UAE has committed substantial resources to help crisis hit regions.


The leadership in Abu Dhabi believes in standing in solidarity with communities facing hardship Through both material and technical assistance the UAE aims to empower people and countries to overcome difficulties It understands the especially vulnerable position of women and children in conflicts. Ensuring their protection and well being is an important part of the nation humanitarian vision.


The widespread appreciation expressed by UN agencies and leaders in Chad highlights the significant role played by the UAE As a reliable partner it will continue working to strengthen resilience and facilitate early recovery and development In line with its principles of tolerance and goodwill, the UAE remains committed to helping displaced populations worldwide rebuild lives with dignity.
