ERC Launches 'Water Aid Initiative' to Combat Summer Heat and Climate Challenges

The Water Aid Initiative has been launched by ERC (Emirates Red Crescent) with a two-fold purpose of mitigating the effects of summer heat, and handling climate challenges both locally and globally. It is directed at disadvantaged groups in societies including families, laborers who spend most of their time outdoors under intense heat as well as people who live without adequate shelter during extremely warm months while serving them with necessary items such as but not limited to: umbrellas for sun protection and water cans for drinking purposes. The ERC intends to drill wells and distribute water tanks and atmospheric water generators internationally, which would be a significant milestone in disaster response and offer a solution to global water crisis.

The ERC has stated that this program is about protecting human lives, health and dignity against climate change-induced natural occurrences. Having completed all necessary arrangements and formed alliances, the ERC aspires to increase its scope of influence on others, hoping that kind-hearted donors will show financial endorsement of these important projects aimed at availing sustainable water points to the deprived populations. The latter shows how the UAE is always ready to take action in dealing with such challenges as developed in this project.
