Dubai Launches Recognition Program for Indian MICE Agents: A Strategic Move to Cement Business Ties

Dubai Business Events, the official convention bureau of the city, is set to launch its inaugural recognition program aimed at Indian intermediaries in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) sector. The MICE Star Awards program acknowledges the pivotal role played by Indian agents in bolstering Dubai's reputation as a premier destination for business events. This initiative underscores Dubai's commitment to fostering strong partnerships with key markets like India, which emerged as the top source country for visitors to Dubai in 2023.

The recognition program comes amidst Dubai's remarkable growth in the exhibitions, conferences, and business events sector, which saw a 25% increase last year. Dubai World Trade Centre alone attracted 2.47 million participants in 2023, reflecting the city's resilience and appeal as an international hub for commerce and trade. Moreover, Dubai secured 349 bids to host international conferences and meetings, with an estimated 191,000 delegates expected to visit the city as a result, further solidifying its position as a global business events destination.

The launch of this program not only highlights Dubai's commitment to the Indian MICE market but also underscores the city's strategic efforts to capitalize on India's outbound MICE potential. With India's outbound MICE tourism market forecasted to reach $13.4 billion by 2031, Dubai stands poised to leverage its exceptional infrastructure, connectivity, and hospitality offerings to attract even more business travelers from India in the years to come. As Dubai continues to prioritize business, investment, and tourism, initiatives like the MICE Star Awards program will play a crucial role in nurturing key partnerships and driving sustained growth in the business events sector.
