UAE's Humanitarian Efforts in Syria Continue with Operation 'Gallant Knight 2'

In a continuation of its ongoing support for the Syrian people affected by last year's earthquake, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched a new phase of humanitarian and development initiatives. As part of Operation 'Gallant Knight 2', the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has opened 300 housing units in Latakia Governorate, benefiting 1,500 individuals. This marks a significant step towards rebuilding communities devastated by the disaster and providing essential infrastructure for those in need.

The ERC's commitment to the well-being of the Syrian people extends beyond housing, with efforts spanning education, health, and relief sectors. The opening of schools, renovation of hospitals, and provision of medical supplies underscore the UAE's dedication to restoring normalcy and improving living conditions in the most affected areas. These initiatives not only alleviate immediate suffering but also lay the groundwork for long-term recovery and resilience.

Rashid Al Mansouri, Acting Secretary-General of ERC, emphasized the importance of these projects in fulfilling the organization's humanitarian responsibility towards the Syrian people. As the UAE continues to prioritize the well-being of those impacted by the earthquake, it reaffirms its commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis and fostering hope for a brighter future.
