Jordanian King and UAE President Unite Against Extremist Violence in Abu Dhabi Summit

 



His Majesty spoke with the President of the United Arab Emirates at a high-level diplomatic gathering in Abu Dhabi, highlighting the critical need to combat radical settlement violence against Palestinians in the West Bank. The talks, which took place at Al Shati Palace, focused on the two countries' strong bilateral relationships and their shared commitment to improving cooperation in a number of areas. Concerning regional issues, the leaders underlined the necessity of an early and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, placing a high priority on the protection of civilians and the provision of vital aid.

During the meeting, His Majesty emphasized the necessity of halting violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, advocating for the preservation of sacred spaces. Both leaders advocated for a political resolution to the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution, ensuring the fulfillment of Palestinians' legitimate rights. Expressing mutual interest in maintaining coordination on matters of shared concern, they highlighted the importance of promoting regional security and stability.

The diplomatic engagement was further underscored by His Majesty's attendance at an iftar hosted by Sheikh Mohamed in his honor, signifying the warm hospitality and camaraderie between the two nations. With key officials from both sides in attendance, including Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh and UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the meeting marked a pivotal moment in reinforcing cooperation and solidarity between Jordan and the UAE.
