Abu Dhabi's DoH Launches 'Sanadkom' Initiative to Streamline Services for Bereaved Families

The first phase of the 'Sanadkom' program has been adopted by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) as a significant step towards improving customer experience and streamlining government procedures. Sanadkom, a component of the Abu Dhabi Program for Effortless Customer Experience, is intended to make the grieving process easier for families of UAE nationals who have passed away by offering assistance during the trying time that follows a loved one's death. By streamlining grieving families' access to government services, this project hopes to make handling the procedures associated with the loss of an Emirati family member easier.

Sanadkom will provide individualized phone consultations with a dedicated member of a combined government support team to assist families of the deceased, thereby removing the need for in-person visits to government offices. Families may complete important tasks with this individualized approach, such as getting the death certificate, setting up funeral arrangements, and helping recipients receive their retirement pension benefits. Interestingly, the project digitally integrates the offerings of seven important emirate government agencies, demonstrating a cooperative endeavor to offer all-encompassing assistance in trying circumstances.

The Sanadkom program is anticipated to grow as the project moves forward, eventually covering all emirate citizens. Abu Dhabi's efforts, in combining digital solutions and combining services from many bodies, are an example of a progressive strategy for enhancing public services and guaranteeing that families get the help they require effectively. The government's commitment to supporting its residents at difficult times is demonstrated by the initiative's focus on accessibility and simplicity, which represents a positive step toward improving the entire customer experience while handling end-of-life problems.
